Trailer Towing Lessons in Killarney and Tralee, Kerry.
When it comes to towing a trailer and jeep/car/4×4 with a gross vehicle weight of more than 750kgs, you must hold a full BE licence. Whether you want to tow a livestock trailer, a horsebox or a large trailer, you must possess a valid BE license. Towing a trailer without a BE licence is a punishable offence.
A category ‘B’ licence is only valid for driving vehicles weighing up to 3500kgs and trailers up to 750kgs. If you expect to tow anything above 750kgs, you must get a full BE licence. With a BE licence, you can tow up to 3500kgs.
